New York Mets ace Max Scherzer left Saturday start early

Scherzer left the Mets game against the Washington Nationals early due to "fatigue on the left side".

 He left the Mets after 67 pitches through five innings.

"Nothing specific, I don't have any strains, it was just the left side getting tired a lot quicker than usual," Scherzer said.

Scherzer was already on the shelf for seven weeks this season due to an oblique strain.
