Alabama men's basketball sophomore guard Nimari Burnett injured his left wrist.

The injury required surgery and head coach Nate Oates said would be sidelined indefinitely.

Because of this, Nimadi had to leave the sport with no timetable for his return.

Burnett had successful surgery at Andrews Sports and is expected to return following a full recovery.

This season, Burnett averaged 7.9 points and 2.3 rebounds per game in all nine games.

He was also the key guard against Houston's Marcus Sasser, who finished with nine points on 2-for-11 shooting.
